65000+ is a lot of decamarks

And there’s no program that lets us check base stats either now (and I believe the program that used to exist only went to a certain point anyway)

So no base stats but can still do other tests to see if they appear at levels unusual
For the area.

As an example, you’re not gonna be finding a level 7 or 13 on route 101 or victory road

And level 0s or 100s never appear in the wild

That’s due to how the data structure works. The numbers for levels and for digits that possess some kind of Pokémon, move or item data, as well as character (letter/number/symbol) only go from 0-255 (00-FF) due to how many “bits” of data or some shit like that in the gbc

The gba increased this limit, to a Range of 0-65535 (0000-FFFF) for these things, and in all cases this includes unused glitchy data slots.

Data for stats like Hp, attack etc seems to operate differently though.

And ive realised that you’re probably not getting the entire picture because you yourself admit you really don’t have a head for numbers in the slightest

There’s less space for potential data in the earlier games compared to the later games
