Background: At a young age, Yami and Yugi both lost their father during a trip in space at the hands of space pirates belonging to a golden ship. He was placed into an escape pod by their father and was ejected from the ship, surviving the attack, but he witnessed the attack which left him with PTSD, and a fear of Space. He tends to go on late night walks to ease his insomnia, which he suffers from nightmares and night terrors. His younger brother was too young to understand what happened to their father, to which Yami will never mention what happened, as it was too brutual.

He and his brother often spend their time operating their jack-of-all trades store, to which seems to be doing quite well. He's often found at their shop, or out and about at night to ease his troubled mind. He does take medication for his PTSD, which sometimes makes feel either feel like a zombie, or makes him sleep a lot. He has a scar just under his right shoulder blade, when defending his brother when they were kids, as he was stabbed in the area with a knife.

Though Yami often appears either annoyed or serious, he's quite a laid back person, unless any harm or threats come towards his brother, then it's game on. He's a very skilled person with almost any weapon you put in front of him. He often wears a long, black leather cloak to hide his weapons, that he carries on him at all times. Yami is known to be slightly taller than his brother. He does have a lean-but-muscular body type, but is quick on his feet, as well as his thinking. He often plays it smart and careful.

Background: Yugi doesn't remember much about their parents, as they were both lost when he was very young. Yami took it upon himself to raise his younger brother, no matter the cost. Yugi is a skilled hacker, even though Yami is quite smart himself, he avoids it because it reminds him of the brutal death of their father.

Though Yugi does wonder if Yami is a sleepwalker to which Yami fully denies it, which sometimes his medication often makes him do odd things, as walking about though he's sound asleep, or moving things around their place, but he did become alarmed when woke up one night and Yami wasn't where he should be asleep, he heard a loud noise, which alarted him, to a few strings of swear words, found him at the bottom of the stairs in their shop, with a gash above his right eye, and a few burises, to which he asked Yami what happened, and Yami looked at him confused, as he didn't know he was sleepwalking, which never happened again after that. The two don't fight very often, but Yugi does like to wind Yami up sometimes, but they just laugh it off later.

Background: Four years before the events of Outlaw Star, Suzuka lived in a remote village on an unknown planet. She was an easy-going young woman without a penchant for the predominant weapons of the Toward Star Era: firearms, magic and military technology, and little interest in the "civilization" of city life. When she chose a type of self-defense, Suzuka trained by the sword. If asked by her teacher or someone when she began training, Suzuka refused to give an answer. Suzuka lived in "the power of desire" through her training, such to a point that her teacher believed she was far too easygoing to be an apprentice, but Suzuka was grateful to him as a teacher.

One day, a man appeared on her teacher's training field with a desire to learn more sword techniques. He happily introduced hmself as Hitoriga. Suzuka's teacher taught Hitoriga as he taught her; Suzuka disliked Hitoriga and thought he wasn't worth training because he was too "sluggish". Her teacher disagreed and continued to train Hitoriga.

Suzuka left one morning to go into town to retrieve her teacher's favorite wine. When she returned in the evening to his home, Suzuka found her teacher on the floor in a pool of his own blood, slain by what appeared be a sword. When she went in search of Hitoriga, she found him on the training field using a Bokken. When Suzuka demanded to know what happened, Hitoriga freely admitted that he killed Suzuka's teacher.

Enraged, Suzuka attacked Hitorgia using her own Bokken. During the battle, Suzuka was attacked by what she realized was Tao Magic and demanded to know who Hitorgia was, as he donned the appearance of her teacher's face. Hitorgia admitted to being a member of the Kei pirates under the command of Hazanko. Hitorgia eventually bested Sazuka using Tao magic, knocking her from the cliff. Suzuka survived the fall and swore to avenge her teacher and kill Hitoriga.

Hitoriga is said to have killed Suzuka's "family". In conjunction with her master's death, the loss of said family drove Suzuka to train and become stronger so that she could face Hitoriga as an equal fighter on the battlefield and avenge all that she lost.

Suzuka eventually became assassin, hiring herself out to whomever was willing to pay her. No matter what their discrepancies were with an opponent or person, so long as it did not void her own moral code, Suzuka would kill the intended target. She offered those she was sent to kill until sunset to perform whatever "last rites" important to them before she killed them. Her reputation became such that she earned the name, "Twilight" Suzuka, and became a feared figured throughout the space. As an assassin, there is no one who knows Suzuka personality and those who are afford even a momentary show of emotion, are never alive long enough to dread or appreciate it.

Background: Hazanko is the leader of the 108 Stars, a brutal group within the Chinese Kei pirate guild, the largest and strongest of the four pirate guilds in the Toward Star Era galaxy. Though he is not the leader of the Kei pirates as a whole, Hazanko is one of the guild's highest ranking members. Because of the extent of his organization, the measure of his power and the methods he and his followers use to achieve their goals, Hazanko is considered by many to surpass even his fellow Kei leaders.
